Like any dish, this salad has many different incarnations. The only thing that unites them is the considerable price of its components. Probably, that's why the salad is called "Tsar's" (as an option - "Royal", which, in principle, is the same). However, on the day of any significant event, you can afford to prepare a salad "Tsar" - with red caviar and squid at least. Although the truly "imperial" version contains much more expensive components.
One of the most budgetary options includes marine animals in canned form. The composition is sprinkled with chopped dill and placed at the most honorable place.
