Prior to the start of work, the following activities should be carried out:

  • check the flatness of the substrate;
  • remove various elements of the walls and window sills (lighting points, antennas, awnings, etc.);
  • measure the walls in such a way as to be able to plan tile cutting while maintaining the pattern and offset by ½ brick.

Inequalities less than 10 mm in a radius of 1.5 m do not require alignment. However, large inequalities must be eliminated by applying plaster or glue. The recommended method is to attach the foam board to a thickness depending on the needs and level the surface with a polystyrene float. The use of a foam leveling plate with a thickness of up to 25 mm does not necessitate the use of longer mounting studs. The maximum thickness of additional insulation is 10 cm.
